Notes: Cadets must have eaten supper before arriving at Vecova.  There is no cell phone coverage at the survival site.  Please call 403-851-5123 ext 8652 if you need to reach the staff or your cadet this weekend.  Also see the warning order for more information: ftx-gold-leaf-781-rcacs-warning-order.  And based on an updated CATO parents are now required to sign this consent form for us to be able to check the cadets kit and sleeping accommodation during this FTX  – this needs to be submitted with each cadet attending the event and was handed out this week: cato-12-50-annex-a-inspection-consent

Monday October 17

Optional Training – Capt Angel

Ground School is Cancelled this week

Open Range Practice 

Time: 1830-2130
Location: Start in the back hallway by supply for attendance and to move the Range Equipment, move into the Parade Square for 1900
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Capt Angel

Notes: Intended for the cadets who have had their class in Marksmanship this year and have completed their weapon handling test.  Priority will go to the ones who have completed weapon handling tests and were unable to shoot over the past month.  We will be able to take people who haven’t completed their weapon handling test pending the number.

New Recruit Supply Night 

Time: 1800-2000
Location: Meet at the Supply Office
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Dayman

Tuesday October 18

Optional – Band Practice – OIC Lt Boyce

Time: 1900-2130
Location: Start in the seminar room and move to the parade square for the last hour

Notes: bring instrument and sheet music.  Any new people looking to get involved with the band are urged to attend.

Wednesday October 19

Mandatory – Parade Night

Time: 1815-2130
Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: C4 – Tunic with t-shirt underneath

Notes: Please ensure to pick up your cadet by 2130 on cadet night.  We are under a strict policy at Vecova that we need to be off of the parade square by 2130 on Wednesday nights so we are making a huge effort to make sure we are completed before this time.  The Level 5 cadets will likely need to stay 10 min later.

Sign up lists are going around for our Poppy Drive in support of the Legion.  This is an optional training activity that can count for your community service and citizenship training and reflects well on your record.  The 4 days are Oct 29, Oct 30, Nov 5, and Nov 6.
