Level 1: Grain Academy & Museum Tour

1. All level 1 cadets must arrive at the Grain Academy no later than 18:30 hours on January 22, 2014
2. Parents are to pick their cadet up no later than 20:30 hours.

Dress: C2 or appropriate civilian attire

• Officer in charge of this activity is CI Juhasz
• If you cannot make it, please call the squadron as soon as you can at 403-289-1617

Location:

• Plus 15 level, BMO Centre, 20 Roundup Way S.E. Calgary, AB, T2G 2W1
• To go to Grain Academy Museum, get off at Victoria Park/Stampede LRT Station. This museum is located on the second level of the BMO center. The hallway between the station and the museum is lined with posters tracing the history of the Calgary Stampede. If you are at the first level of the BMO center, find “Calgary Stampede Showband.” Calgary Stampede Showband is a rack of trophies. Near the Calgary Stampede Showband, you’ll see a ramp. Go up the ramp. The museum is on your left side of the second level.

Level 2+ Sports Night/Fitness Testing

Timing: 1820-2130
Dress: Appropriate civilian sports attire, running shoes, water bottle

Note:

• Haircuts will be up to standard or Incident Reports will be issued this Wednesday
• Flight Staff: Email WO1 Wijaya at ecarg.ayajiw@gmail.com with expected numbers by Monday night. Also, plan boot polishing parties if you haven’t already done so
• If a cadet needs a forum account, email WO2 Ho at wingyin.h@gmail.com (subject line: Forum Account) with their name and email address. General inquiries can be directed to WO2 Wun at tim_wun@live.ca
• Phone outs need to be done by SUNDAY NIGHT. If you do not receive a call, use the chain of command (senior cadets in your flight) for announcements

Notes:

• (NEW) All scholarship candidates:
  Please remember to work on your narratives. Tips on this essay can be found on Page 12 of this document: Air Cadet League of Canada Selection Boards Preparation Package for Cadets
• (NEW) All cadets must have their own writing material during classes, all seniors must have writing material present at all meetings, failure to do so will have consequences, cellphones and electronic devices are not acceptable substitutes.
• Uniform Return Incentive: Any cadets who have spare uniform parts and return them to the squadron will be granted points. The top three cadets will be presented with gift cards. Each uniform part is worth one point, boots are worth two. Please do not return PT gear or wool socks.
• All cadets who do not have a forum account are to email WO2 Ho at wingyin.h@gmail.com (subject line: Forum Account) with their first/last name and email address.
• Cadets who do not have forum accounts or who are not receiving phone outs yet, may email inquires to WO2 Wun at tim_wun@live.ca
