781 "McCall Field" Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron

Attention all cadets and parents,

This participation form is a way for the squadron to collect valuable information about your cadet for the exercise, and it also allows us to get a more accurate count of how many cadets to expect at an activity so we can set up the proper amount of supervision, food, accommodations, etc.

We expect these to be handed in two weeks prior to the activities – this one is due on Wednesday March 2nd for the MANDATORY Inter-squadron (i.e. flight) Survivair Competition day on Saturday March 19th.

A warning order will be out next week with more details on this event.

Saturday 20 February

Marksmanship Stage II Competition
Time:  Meet at 1210 and pickup will be at 1730
Location: HMCS Tecumseh – 1898 24 St SW, Calgary, AB T2T
Notes: Make sure to have breakfast prior to arrival.  All 15 members of the Marksmanship team are required to bring all of the items outlined in the warning order.

Monday 22 February

Effective Speaking Competition

Time: 1830-2130
Location: Classroom 2 or the Seminar Room at Vecova
Dress: Need to be in C2 Uniform which is with shirt and tie

Notes: Bring your speeches, and water bottle

Survivair Try-out (day 1)

Time: 19:00-20:00
Location: Classroom 1 at Vecova
Dress: Civvies

Notes: For any cadet interested in being a part of the Survivair team this year – this is a team who will compete at the end of May in various survival and fitness related activities against all of the other squadrons in the province.  We need 2 level 1s, 2 level 2s, 2 level 3s, and 2 of any level to make up this team to be able to compete.  Be sure to bring note paper and writing utensils.

Band

Time: 19:00-21:30
Location: Start in VRRI South and move into the Parade Square
Dress: Civvies

Notes: remember to bring your instruments

Drill Team and Flag Party Practice

Time: 19:00-2030
Location: Parade Square
Dress: Civvies, bring your parade boots

Notes: remember to bring a water bottle

Wednesday 24 February

Regular PARADE NIGHT

Time: 1815-2130
Location: Vecova
Dress (all cadets): C4 (Uniform with blue t-shirt)
New Cadets: Dress pants or nice jeans that are clean and not ripped; dress shirt or a collared shirt.

Notes:

1. Please make sure your hair, males and females, is up to standard.
2. Cadets who arrive at 1830 (6:30) or later will be marked late.
3. Make sure to have supper before coming to cadets to mitigate the cadet fainting on the parade square.

Saturday 13 February

Scholarship Boards
Time: Meet at Vecova at 0730 and pickup at 1730
Notes: Carry your uniform with you, remember all of the parts along with something to occupy yourself throughout the day while you are not in the boards. Bring a bottle of water with you as well.

Monday 15 February

STAND-DOWN NO CADETS DUE TO THE HOLIDAY MONDAY

Tuesday 16 February

Marksmanship Team Practice
Time: 1830 – 2130 (6:30 – 9:30)
Location: Start in the atrium, later move to the Parade Square
Notes: Wear comfortable clothing for shooting

Wednesday 17 February

Location: Vecova
