Monday 6 June

ACR PRACTICE and Flight Time

Time: 1830-2130
Location: LHQ – the parking lot across from the bottle depot
Dress: Civvies – dress for the weather as we will be outside (have the parade square if the weather is really poor)
Officer In Charge: Lt Scharfenberger

Notes: All cadets are expected to attend – this is one of 3 remaining practices for the end of the year Annual Ceremonial Review!

Wednesday 8 June

ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW

Time: 1730-2130
Location: Art Smith Aero Centre
Dress (all cadets): C-1 (Ceremonial dress, full uniform with tunic, tie, and collar shirt, and medals!

Timeline for the evening:

1730: Cadets arrive (if not able to make 1730, ASAP);

1800 – 1830: Parents/Dignitaries arrive;

1845: All should be seated;

1900: RO steps on;

1905 – 1940: Inspection;

1940 – 1950: March past;

1950 – 2000: Dressing;

2000 – 2050: Awards/Presentations/Speeches;

2050 – 2120: Teardown/Clean-up; and

2120 – 2130: Cadets depart

Parents, Relatives, and Friends are all welcome to attend as spectators to see their cadet’s performance for the evening!

LOOK AHEAD

Saturday June 11 – Annual Banquet
Location: Symon’s Valley Ranch

Time: Arrive at 1700 for meet & greet and supper will be served at 1800.

Monday June 13  and Wednesday June 15 – will be make up evenings for training (Level 3 and 4 Instruction and Drill Mutuals, Fitness training, marksmanship, etc)

Thursday June 23 – Summer Training Briefing – for those cadets and parents of the cadets who are going to summer training, this is an opportunity to get a full understanding of what to expect and look forward to along with answering any questions you might have. More Info to come on timing and location.

SURVIVAIR COMPETITION

Time: Arrive at Deerfoot Mall for 1730 on Friday May 25 and will return back to the same location at 1030 on Sunday May 27
Location: Meet at deerfoot mall – will be transported from there via bus to the Rocky Mountain Army Cadet Summer Training Center.
Dress: Survival attire – Dress for the weather and see the kit list in the attachment!

Wednesday 1 June

 Parade & ACR PRACTICE NIGHT

Time: 1815-2130
Location: Vecova + Parking lot across from the bottle depot
Dress (all cadets): CIVVIES

Notes:

  1. Cadets who arrive at 1830 (6:30) or later will be marked late.
  2. Make sure to have supper before coming to cadets to mitigate the cadet fainting on the parade square.
  3. Be prepared to be outdoors for the evening to do a full ACR Practice
  4. Level 3 and 4 cadets will have an opportunity to complete their aviation exams!
  5. All first year cadets who have not been through PSRY yet this year will need to attend that training.

LOOK AHEAD

Saturday Jun 4 and Sunday Jun 5- Raffle Sales – Cadets are encouraged to participate in 2 fundraising activities in each training year to better support the squadron.  This is one of those opportunities – please sign up for a shift at one of the locations during the weekend.

Monday Jun 6 – ACR PRACTICE. 

Wednesday June 8 – Annual Ceremonial Review – This is the end of the year show that the cadets put a lot of work toward all year – and give us a chance to recognize their accomplishments!  More information to come.

Fundraising – Casino Event, Volunteers Required

We are going to have a Casino Event in August 2016. The dates and schedule have been decided. Please find the date/time and volunteer positions required below.

This is the most important fundraising event we have, although we have Monday and Tuesday for the Casino event this year, it might not be so convenient, but please make every effort to volunteer yourself or have your family and friends to help.
