Time: 1900-2100
Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: Civvies  – Bring your parade boots
Who: All cadets interested in Drill Team
Officer in Charge: Mr Devries / Mrs Plimbley

Notes: The Drill team will be performing at our ACR this year.

Survivair Team Practice
Time: 1900-2100
Location: Bowness Park (main parking lot drop off and will collect and walk in with the team
Dress: Civvies  – Make sure you dress for the weather
Who: The survivair cadets
Officer in Charge: OCdt Fisher / Mr Hilton

Notes: Bring all you need to be out doors!

Tuesday Apr 18

Optional – Band Practice 

Time: 1900-2130
Location: Start in the seminar room and move to the parade square for the last hour
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries

Notes: bring instrument and sheet music.  Any new people looking to get involved with the band are urged to attend.

Optional – Flag Party Practice

Time: 2030-2130
Location: Parade Square
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries

Notes: For all flag party members and alternates.

Wednesday Apr 19

Mandatory – Regular Parade Night

Time: 1800-2130
Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: C-2 Uniform (which includes shirt and tie)
Notes: Note remember to bring your water bottles!

Ex Top Gun is coming up on April 22nd – an opportunity for the flights to compete against each other in a variety of skills!

Fundraiser – Bottle Drive is happening on April 29th please put your name on the sign up list

Gliding day on April 30th – please sign up if you haven’t been gliding this year.

Friday Apr 7 to Sunday Apr 9

Mandatory Training for Level 3 & 4 cadets – FTX Snow Ball
OIC – Capt Angel
Time: Meet at Vecova backdoor by 1730 (can be there as early as 1700), bus departs at 1800.  We will return on Sunday at 1600.
Location: We will be transporting the cadets from Vecova to Camp Worthington
Dress: Survival attire.  It is going to be a WET WEEKEND so make sure your have your rain gear on you for when you arrive at camp.
Who: Level 3 & 4 Cadets

Notes: All first year cadets (regardless of if they are in level 1/2/3) who did not complete their PSRY training in the first 3 months of the year are urged to attend.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) – May 3, 2017

We will hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parents Association of 781 Squadron on Weds. May 3, 2017, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be held in the Boardroom of Vecova after the CO’s Parade.

In this meeting, we will hold elections for the executive members. There are a few openings for the executive positions next year. The executive positions include the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Please be aware that if you have an interest in becoming one of the executive positions, you must be a screened volunteer. More information about becoming a screened volunteer can be found on our website (http://781aircadets.ca/ssc/screened-volunteer/).

This will be our last meeting of the year. We will send out a reminder along with the meeting agenda closer to the AGM meeting. We encourage you to come and participate. Hope to see you there!
