OptionalTraining – BOTTLE DRIVE
OIC – Capt Angel
Time: 0830-1200
Location: Back Door at Vecova near the bottle depot
Dress: come in civvies and be dressed for being outdoors all morning.
Who: All Cadets – Highly encouraged to attend to assist in raising funds for our Mess Dinner coming up in June!

Notes: No food will be provided and cadets should bring their own water bottles.

Sunday Apr 30

MANDATORY Training – EX Gliding Day 3
OIC – ASLt Weyman
Time: 0630 – 1800
Location: Vecova back door (the building will not be open so be prepared for the weather)
Dress: Civvies  – you will be outdoors all day make sure to dress for it, wear a hat, and wear good sneakers.
Who: Cadets who have signed up on the signup sheet

Notes: The Warning Order can be found here: 781 RCACS Warning Order Gliding Apr 30   remember to bring a water bottle and items to amuse yourself for the day.

Time: 1900-2100
Location: Parade Square
Dress: Civvies  (bring your uniform and polishing kits)
Who: All of the cadets

Notes: Make sure to bring all of the things you need to do your uniform

Tuesday May 2

Optional Training
OIC – Lt Boyce

Optional – Band Practice 

Time: 1900-2130
Location: Start in the seminar room and move to the parade square for the last hour
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries

Notes: bring instrument and sheet music.  Any new people looking to get involved with the band are urged to attend.

Optional – Flag Party Practice

Time: 2030-2130
Location: Parade Square
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries

Notes: For all flag party members and alternates.

Wednesday May 3

Mandatory – CO’s PARADE

Time: 1800-2130
Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: C-2 Uniform (shirt and tie)
Notes: Note remember to bring your water bottles!
This is a special parade night where the Commanding Officer from 440 Squadron who will be down to inspect our squadron and give us a presentation / Question & Answer period.

MANDATORY Training – EX TOP GUN

Time: 0900-1500
Location: Le Roi Daniels School (47 Fyffe Rd SE, Calgary, AB T2H 1B9) – we will use the door and parking lot on the west side of the building (faceing the Fairview School)
Dress: come in your C-2 uniform (with tie and tunic) bring your change of PT (gym) clothing for later in the morning (remember indoor sneakers
Who: All Cadets – This is a mandatory training event
Cadets in Charge: FSgt Chu, Sgt Prabu, Sgt Horton, Sgt Ip

Notes: Food will be provided for lunch, bring your water bottles and if you require other snack food.  Seniors please arrive at 0850

Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: Civvies  – Bring your parade boots
Who: All cadets interested in Drill Team

Notes: The Drill team will be performing at our ACR this year.

Survivair Team Practice
Time: 1900-2100
Location: Bowness Park (main parking lot drop off and will collect and walk in with the team
Dress: Civvies  – Make sure you dress for the weather
Who: The survivair cadets
Officer in Charge: OCdt Fisher / Mr Hilton

Notes: Bring all you need to be out doors!

Typhoon Flight Night
Time: 1900-2100
Location: Vecova – classroom 1
Dress: Civvies  (bring your uniform and polishing kits)
Who: All of the cadets in typhoon flight

Bottle Drive (Saturday April 29) – Volunteer Sign up

781 Squadron will hold its annual Bottle Drive with proceeds going towards the end of the year Awards Banquet and Mess Dinner. This event requires participation from both the Cadets and the Parents. Together is better and this is sure to be an excellent opportunity to show your squadron spirit. Participate in an event that benefits the Training at 781 Squadron.

This is a day long event and some accomodation can be made for half day volunteering.

All participants must bring a lunch and a water bottle.

Only ***SCREENED*** Parent Volunteers are permitted to drive Cadets. ANY Parent may volunteer to drive the bottles back and forth to the Bottle Depot
