Optional – Ground School Lessons

Time: 1000-1600
LocationArt Smith Aero Centre (SAIT Campus)
Dress: Civvies
Bring: cadets are required to bring their own Lunch and study materials

Notes: All cadets who are signed up for ground school are expected to attend


Monday Sep 26

Optional Training – OIC Capt Angel

Ground School

Time: 1800-2130
Location: Vecova – Classroom 1
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: OCdt Kong

Notes: Open to the cadets who meet the requirements for attaining a glider or power scholarship next summer.  Bring your books, pens/pencils, etc.

Flag Party try-out

Time: 1900-2100
Location: Parade Square
Dress: C2 Uniform (collared shirt and tie with tunic, etc)
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries & Mr Fisher

Notes: Any level 2 and up who would like to learn flag and rifle drill and are interested in being in the flag party are urged to come out for this instructional and practice evening before the try-outs!

Supply Exchange

Time: 1800-2000
Location: Supply
Officer In Charge: Mr Dayman

Notes: For cadets who need to exchange uniform parts (except the band as the supply officer will be there for the band practice as well)


Tuesday Sep 20

Optional – Band Practice – OIC Lt Boyce

Time: 1900-2130
Location: Start in the seminar room and move to the parade square for the last hour
Dress: Civvies
Officer In Charge: Mr Devries and Mr Dayman

Notes: bring instrument and sheet music.  Any new people looking to get involved with the band are urged to attend.

Optional – Parade Position Try-outs

Time: 1900-2000
Location: meet at the training office – try-out will be out doors
Dress: Civvies  – make sure to have clothing to wear outside

Wednesday Sep 21

Mandatory – Parade Night

Time: 1815-2130
Location: Vecova Parade Square
Dress: C4 – tunic with t-shirt

Notes: Level 2B has Air Rifle Safety Handling Test and hopefully will be able to shoot 🙂

Gliding #2 has a sign-up sheet circulating, priority goes to the new recruits, for October 2nd (Sunday) from 0630 – 1800.

The Upcoming Field Training Exercise (Oct 14-16) will be sending out information on this by next week.
